Cannigione is located on the western side of the largest and deepest ria, that is an inlet created by a mouth, north-east of Sardinia. Cannigione, a hamlet of Arzachena, originally a fishing village, is a renowned tourist village surrounded by green spaces, bars and boutiques, where you can rediscover the typical Sardinian crafts and delicacies. Cannigione also offers a particularly equipped marina.
The small village has several beaches, located between the Gulf of Saline and Arzachena. Among the most important are the beaches of La Conia, Isuledda, Tanca Manna, Mannena, Barca Bruciata, Le Piscine and Le Calette, and the Saline beach in Palau.
On the other side of the coast, going towards Porto Cervo, there are numerous other beaches that are worth visiting such as Spiaggia del Pevero, Romazzino, Spiaggia del Principe, Capriccioli, La Celvia and the enchanting Liscia Ruja.
The coast of Cannigione and its beaches are ideal for both families and young people who want to live their holiday in complete freedom having the opportunity to choose every day a different location among the most exclusive of the Coast: Palau, San Pantaleo, Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo, Baia Sardinia, Poltu Quatu and Arzachena can be reached with a short drive.
From Cannigione also depart boat trips for excursions to the Nation Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena, including La Maddalena, Caprera, Budelli, Santo Stefano, Santa Maria, Spargi and Razzoli.
There are many piers on the seafront, where they rent inflatables to visit the coast and the islands in complete autonomy.

Cannigione is in fact equipped with various outdoor gyms with Calisthenics park, sports fields of beach volleyball, tennis, soccer, bowls and a bike path along the promenade between Cannigione and La Conia
It is possible to do beautiful and evocative horseback riding in the Gulf of Arzachena, as well as windsurfing, diving and sailing courses, in the nearby beaches. Individual and group courses, also in English. Courses and equipment for children aged 5 and over.
Among the most suggestive excursions, you can not miss the one to the Roccia dell'Orso, one of the most fascinating natural monuments of Sardinia. A few kilometers from the center of Palau, in fact, there is this granite rock that the wind and the weather have shaped like a large bear almost to protect this stretch of the coast and the promontory which it gives its name. An open-air monument, a natural work of art from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view.
Moving away a little, two hours by car (139 km), another spectacular excursion is to the Gorges of Gorropu, the deepest canyon in Italy, an extraordinary place where the sublime and the majesty of the walls overlooks you. It is an ideal destination for lovers of unspoilt nature and trekking, who can find formulas suitable for all needs and abilities. It is located in the heart of Sardinia, in the mountain complex of Supramonte, between Barbagia and Ogliastra, between the municipal territories of Orgosolo and Urzulei.
